Driving licence
Traffic drives on the left. A national licence is valid for 90 days (with an English translation if in French), then an international or Zambian licence. Turning left on a red light is prohibited; two triangles and front and rear reflectors are mandatory.

Driving locally
Fatal accidents are common, especially on the Great East Road, Great North Road and Kafue Road, often involving pedestrians; there are no ambulances for road accidents.
