Frequently asked questions
What does the subscription give me to settle in Africa?
An action plan adapted to your situation, from the visa to your first months there, and guides on entry and stay, housing, work, taxes and daily life. You also keep your budget, documents and useful places in one place.
I'm going on a trip or holiday: is AfriPilot useful?
Yes. You know the entry rules for your passport, the health precautions to check before leaving, emergency numbers, payment methods and transport, plus the Reality Brief of the cities you visit.
We are returning home with our children: what does AfriPilot offer?
School and family guides, the international schools listed in the cities covered, children's health questions, and a plan that takes your household into account. AfriPilot also warns you when a document, such as a passport, is about to expire.
We are moving as a family: how does AfriPilot adapt to our children?
You enter your household and each child's age. The plan then adds finding a school, preparing school records and the start of the school year, and family tips come first. You also find the school and family guides, the international schools listed in the cities covered, a schooling line in the budget, and AfriPilot tells you if the languages spoken at home are not those of the country.
We are expecting a baby: does AfriPilot take this into account?
Yes. If you indicate a current or planned pregnancy, the plan adds the steps not to forget: ask a doctor's advice before travelling, check that your insurance covers pregnancy, know the airlines' conditions, arrange follow-up care on site and register the birth. AfriPilot gives no medical advice: these steps remind you to consult a health professional.
I'm preparing my retirement in Africa: how does AfriPilot help?
Country comparison ranks destinations according to your priorities, such as health, safety and cost of living. The retirement, health and housing guides then help you prepare your move.
I want to invest: how does AfriPilot help me succeed?
You compare countries, take the “Ready to invest in Africa?” audit, included in the subscription, and calculate your project's profitability. You also find the steps to create your company and the common mistakes to avoid. The sector Invest Check is 25% off for subscribers.
I run a project remotely: what does AfriPilot give me?
The remote control diagnosis measures what is already in place and tells you what to strengthen. Alerts flag important deadlines. To track your business figures, ServAfrica Gestion is offered to subscribers at a reduced price.
I want to work or start a business there: does AfriPilot help?
Yes. The guides cover work, social protection and taxes for each destination, and the Start a business tool shows the steps to create or register a company and the documents to gather. For an investment project, you also have the profitability calculator and the “Ready to invest in Africa?” audit, included in the subscription.
Can I prepare my budget with AfriPilot?
Yes. You enter your monthly and one-off expenses, your savings and your income: AfriPilot calculates your budget, your financial autonomy in months and a 12-month projection of your savings. It warns you when an expense weighs too much or when your one-off expenses exceed your savings. Amounts are shown in your currency.
How does AfriPilot help with my documents?
You list the documents of the whole household (passports, visas, certificates, diplomas) with their expiry dates. AfriPilot warns you when a document expires before departure or shortly after arrival. The vault keeps your copies on your device, and your destination page shows your country's embassy or consulate.
Does AfriPilot adapt to my situation?
Yes. Your passport, country of residence, household and situation adapt the plan, guides and tips you see first.
Is the information reliable?
Every piece of information shows its sources, verification date and confidence level. When information needs to be checked again, we say so. For any formality, we refer you to official sources.
Can I use AfriPilot on my phone?
Yes. AfriPilot works on computer, tablet and phone, and can be installed like an app on your home screen.
Can I prepare several projects?
Yes. You can create several projects, for example a trip and then a move, and compare several destinations before choosing.
Is AfriPilot an official service?

Can I stop whenever I want?
Yes. There is no automatic debit: without a new payment, access ends on the end date. A period already paid is not refunded.
