Entry and residence
Visa, passport, vaccination required at the border, customs and consular assistance. Rules depend on your nationality: each point says who it applies to.
Visa
A visa is compulsory and is not issued on arrival in Bamako: travellers without one are sent back. French nationals apply by appointment at the Malian consulates in Paris or Lyon (30 days, renewable locally); the UK describes a fully online application with the Malian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
