Crime
The whole archipelago is under heightened vigilance. Burglaries, snatch thefts and car break-ins remain relatively rare: take care in markets and on beaches, and stay away from gatherings.

On the road
Roads are very poor, with no signs or lighting: take extreme care, especially at night. Drivers have been attacked after accidents outside the capital: go to the police station and notify the embassy.
