Practical guides: Kenya
Getting around
Driving licence, road conditions, public transport and domestic flights.
Public transport
France, Belgium and Canada advise against minibuses (matatus) and motorbike (boda-boda) or three-wheel taxis (tuk-tuks) because accidents are frequent; the UK also reports minibus robberies and hijackings.
Other transport
The SGR train links Nairobi and Mombasa; the Kisumu line is suspended. Flying remains the safest way to travel within the country.
