All travellers need a visa. Apply before departure, on the website of the Directorate General of Documentation and Immigration or through the Gabonese embassy.

Citizens of the six CEMAC countries (Cameroon, Central African Republic, Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Chad) move without a visa within the zone, according to the CEMAC Commission (September 2025). Your passport must be valid for more than 6 months. Canada specifies 6 months beyond your planned exit date; the UK 6 months after your arrival date.

Yellow fever vaccination is compulsory and the vaccination record is checked systematically at entry. It is given at an approved centre, preferably at least 10 days before departure.
