Public transport
Belgium recommends avoiding shared taxis and motorbike taxis and travelling with a trusted driver; Canada advises against motorbike taxis (okada or bend-skins), which are often involved in accidents.

Driving licence
- Passport: France
A French licence is valid for 3 months after arrival (as shown by the entry stamp). After that, it must be exchanged for a Cameroonian licence at the Ministry of Transport. The international permit issued in France is not recognised.

The Yaoundé-N'Gaoundéré train is advised against beyond Ngaoundal station, except for essential reasons. Pickpocketing is common on board.
